Scope

Full renovation of 100-year-old cottage, basement excavation

Role

Developer / Owner

A 100-year-old hunting cottage with charm but serious challenges: flooding issues and the complexity of completing renovations in a mandatory evacuation zone following the Palisades fire. The goal was to preserve character while adding modern livability.

I dug out the basement to create additional useable square footage and resolved persistent flooding problems. Coordinating all work during evacuation restrictions required careful planning and flexibility with scheduling.

The renovation respected the home's history while solving its structural issues and maximizing the small footprint. A challenging project that required patience and problem-solving at every turn.
